Privacy and photographs when dating
Choose what to share deliberately and respect the same choice in others.
Review a photo before sending it
Look for names, badges, street signs, documents or other people in the background. Consider whether an image reveals your home, workplace or routine. Share only material you are comfortable sharing; feeling attracted to someone does not require you to send personal photographs.
Ask before sharing or saving
Ask whether a photograph is welcome before sending it. Do not pressure anyone to provide images as proof of interest. Treat another person's photos and messages as private: receiving them is not permission to repost, forward or show them to friends.
Remember the limits of control
Once content has been sent, you may not be able to control copies or screenshots. Avoid relying on a promise of deletion as your only protection. If you become uncomfortable, stop sharing and review the controls available on the service. You can set new boundaries even after sharing something previously.
